Bearly Organised Ltd is one of the growing number of artisan meaderies bringing mead, probably the worlds’ oldest alcoholic drink and one that has been around for thousands of years, back to the public consciousness and into homes, pubs and events around the UK. Previously just a passion, the owner was looking to transition to being a fully-fledged legal entity and turned to Asirius for support in doing so.
Asirius played a number of core roles in the setup of the business from sign posting the best route to create a legal entity (including some non-standard articles to cover a specific shareholding arrangement) and introductions to banks and accountants, through to review and critique of the finance and business plan to ensure the venture was both as low risk as possible but also credible in its presentation. This also enabled the business to acquire the necessary licences and food standards certifications critical to business success.
Asirius was well placed to ask the right questions to provoke the business to think critically about the viability helping Bearly Organised identify potential risks and challenges whilst also then supporting the resolution.
As a result of Asirius’ support, the owner was able to successfully launch the business and minimize the inherent risks. The business was able to achieve financial stability and is well-positioned for future growth.
